Shanghai HYYCHEM 2025 Year-End Summary and 2026 Spring Festival Annual Meeting

On the morning of January 30th, Shanghai HYYCHEM held its 2025 year-end summary meeting in the multi-functional hall on the first floor of Shanghai headquarters. Chairman Yang Tao, President Ning Qunying, Vice Chairman Ning Kecheng, Executive Vice President Jin Zhengyuan, Vice President Liu Min, Chairman Assistant and General Manager of Supply Chain Center Yang Yi, and General Manager of Domestic Marketing Center Yang Wang attended the meeting.

China's titanium dioxide exports reached approximately 171,800 tons in December 2025

According to customs data, my country exported 171,800 tons of titanium dioxide in December 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.49% and a month-on-month increase of 12.88%. Of this, 127,700 tons were exported via the sulfuric acid process, a month-on-month increase of 8.49%; and 44,200 tons were exported via the chloride process, a month-on-month increase of 27.83%.

TiO₂ 2026 Opens Higher, Creating a Short-Term Buying Window

The main driver remains raw material costs. Sulfur and sulfuric acid prices stay high. In some regions, particularly in Southwest China, producers struggle to secure a sufficient supply. Several plants are running at lower rates or have stopped production. As a result, raw material costs are unlikely to decrease in the short term. Policy measures aim to stabilize the supply of sulfur and sulfuric acid. However, these measures take time to show results. Cost pressure continues to support TiO₂ prices.

Final Rulings on Anti-Dumping Investigations Against China’s Titanium Dioxide

Since August 2023, five regions and countries — the Eurasian Economic Union, the European Commission, India, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia — have successively initiated anti-dumping investigations against Chinese titanium dioxide. With the support of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the China National Coatings Industry Association organized domestic titanium dioxide producers nationwide to actively participate in the industry’s collective defense against injury claims.
