Potential Application of Aloe Emodin

Aloe emodin is a natural compound found in the roots and rhizomes of many plants. It has been shown to have a wide range of pharmacological effects, including antitumor, anti-inflammatory, antiangiogenic, and antiproliferative properties.
1. A study published in Cancer Cell International suggests that aloe-emodin may induce the apoptosis of colon cancer cells through mitochondria-related pathways
2. Another study published in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity suggests that aloe emodin may have potential in reversing multidrug resistance of cancer cells1. However, more research is needed to fully understand the potential applications of aloe emodin.
